We wanted to
have it all.

An egg that’s good for people, hen-friendly,
and easy on the planet.

An egg we can believe in.
The egg we all deserve.

Plant-based egg should be an everyday choice.

It shouldn’t be costly, hard to find, or lacking in any way.

It should be easy for everyone to enjoy.

Because amazing things happen when people have the power to choose plant-based foods.

Let’s make every bite count!

Plants are Excellent Earthmates

Foods made from plants save land, water, and energy.

They help slow climate change. And produce less waste and harmful emissions.

We want to empower the era of sustainable foods with a plant-based egg that’s better for everyone.

Because everyday choices add up to big change.

We’re optimistic for the world. And as veterans of the food industry, we’ve long dreamt of a plant-based egg.

Our food system needs to be reformed — for the sake of people, animals, and our planet. In order to nourish future generations, we must find ways to produce food more sustainably. And we think an egg made from plants is a good place to start.

Egg is in almost everything. Sometimes the hero of the dish. Sometimes a humble ingredient. But always playing an important role. Plant-based egg is a chance to make a huge impact. It can change the world.

Does this sound idealistic? Without a doubt.
Is it worth doing? One hundred percent!

The future is ours to create. And with a plant-based egg, it’s going to be amazing.

Our Founder

Liron Nimrodi, CEO & Co-Founder of Zero Egg

Liron Nimrodi is the CEO & Co-Founder of Zero Egg. A plant-based foodie that has avoided animal products for 15-years, Liron is passionate about making our world a better place by providing plant-based food solutions, for her, her family, and for people around the world.

Liron has a B.S.c degree in Food Engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. She started her career as a food technologist, seeing firsthand the manufacturing processes and additives that go into food production, as well as the abhorrent animal cruelty that comes with factory farming. It didn’t take long for Liron to decided she had to do something drastic to create lasting systemic change.

In 2018, Strauss-The Kitchen, an Israeli food-tech hub, offered Liron the opportunity to co-found Zero Egg, and a chance to make the impact that she had long been looking for. She could revolutionize the egg industry by bringing about a plant-based egg that functions like a hen’s egg, offering the world a healthier option, without compromising on taste and texture.

Liron is working to empower people to make better choices for their health, better for the animals, and better for the environment. Since founding the company, she is most proud of assembling an amazing diverse and passionate team. In addition to being Zero Egg’s CEO and Co-Founder, Liron is also a proud mom of 2 boys, Omer and Noam. Her passion for good food is re-enforced with her concern for future generations.
